This energetic car chase was given as a canvas for environmental effects. Starting with only the camera, a plain Zootopia themed environment, and car animations, I was tasked to develop new surroundings for the vehicle in order to heighten the interest, stakes, and entertainment of the shot. Utilizing the MPM solver, I created a snowy wonderland, causing the cars to kick up snow, leave slushy tracks in their wake, and be at risk from sliding out at any moment, (may a giant pink donut happen to come crashing into the road from a town over). I wanted to practice matching up to a leading shot, so I took inspiration from the donut sequence in Zootopia to lead into the unexpected twist within my shot.
